Privacy Policy

NeuronCluster builds software that runs on hardware you control. Our desktop apps — Focus Mail, Soma and Neuron Hub — do their work on your machine, and their AI features talk only to the Neuron Network gateway you configure. We do not sell personal data, we do not use your content to train models, and we never receive your email, your database rows or your passwords.

This policy explains what we do collect when you visit neuroncluster.com, create an account at app.neuroncluster.com, or use the apps.

When you submit the contact or demo form we receive the details you enter — such as your name, work email, company and message — and use them only to reply to you.

Like any web server, our hosting provider records technical request data (IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps) to operate and secure the site. We do not run advertising trackers on this site.

An account is needed to download the apps and to sign your machines in. We store:

• Account details — your name, email address, organization and authentication data (passwords are stored only as a one-way hash).
• Devices — which app is signed in on which machine, the operating system, app version and when it last synced, so you can review and revoke them.
• Settings backup — if you leave sync on, the apps back up their configuration so a new machine can pick up where you left off: account and server settings, rules, labels, signatures, saved queries, database connection details, fleet and gateway descriptions, and preferences.

The settings backup never includes message contents, attachments, database rows or query results, or any password, app password, OAuth token or SSH key. Those stay encrypted on your machine, which is why a restored install asks for credentials again.

Focus Mail connects directly from your computer to your mail provider over IMAP and SMTP. Your mail is stored on that provider and cached locally; it does not pass through NeuronCluster servers. Credentials and OAuth refresh tokens are encrypted on the device under a key held by the operating system's credential store.

Soma connects directly to the databases you add. When you use its assistant, only schema information — table and column names and types — is sent to your configured gateway. Row data is never included.

Neuron Hub provisions and monitors machines you own over SSH. SSH keys and host credentials stay on the computer running Hub.

AI features in every app are off until you enter a gateway address, and then send requests only to that address — normally a Neuron Network gateway on your own network. NeuronCluster does not operate a hosted model and does not receive these requests.

Updates. The apps check updates.neuroncluster.com for new versions. That request reveals your IP address, platform and current version to our download host, and nothing else.

If you connect a Gmail account to Focus Mail with Google Sign-In, Focus Mail requests access to read, send and manage that mailbox (the https://mail.google.com/ scope) plus your email address, so it can work as an IMAP and SMTP mail client. That access is used only on your device to show, search, organize and send your mail and to run the AI features you turn on.

Gmail data is not transferred to NeuronCluster, is not used for advertising, is not sold, and is not used to train AI models. Humans at NeuronCluster cannot read it.

Focus Mail's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can remove Focus Mail's access at any time from your Google Account permissions.

• To provide, secure and support your account and the apps.
• To sync your settings between the machines you sign in.
• To answer your enquiries and, where you ask, to arrange demos.
• To send essential service messages such as email verification or security notices.
• To comply with legal obligations and protect against abuse.

We do not sell or rent personal data. We share it only with service providers that host and operate our infrastructure — cloud hosting, database, file storage and transactional email — under contracts that limit them to processing it on our behalf, and when required by law.

Members of an organization you join can see that organization's shared data, such as its members and fleets.

We keep account data while your account is active. You can revoke devices, turn sync off in any app, or ask us to delete your account; we then delete or anonymize your account data and settings backup, except where we must keep records to meet legal obligations. Data held only on your machines is under your control and is removed when you uninstall the app and delete its data folder.

Traffic to our services is encrypted in transit, passwords are hashed, and desktop credentials are encrypted locally under a key held by your operating system. No system is perfectly secure, but the apps are designed so that the most sensitive data never reaches us in the first place.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

NeuronCluster is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date at the top. For material changes we will notify account holders by email or in the apps before they take effect.
